1. Pressure

Pressure is taken from the slow ghg flux files, and so there are large gaps corresponding to the periods where there are flux data gaps. These gaps are filled with XEMA data that has a great correlation.

2. Precipitation
In Riet Vell we don’t have a rain gauge. The plan is to use the data from Alfacada’s rain gauge. However, at the time it has not worked yet, so the values are taken from XEMA.

3. PAR, SW and LW
From 2025-04-01, 17.30 UTC to April 30th 15.00h UTC radiometers and soil sensors were removed from the field due to field work by farmers. For this reason, PARout, LWout, SWout and RNET are NaN during that period. Gaps of incoming values of radiation were filled using XEMA values (it could also be done with Alfacada’s). For PAR, solar irradiance from XEMA was used.

4. Soil Heat Flux
From 2025-04-01, 17.30 UTC to April 30th 15.00h UTC the SHF plates were also removed from the field.

5. Soil Temperature (Thermocouples)

From 2025-04-01, 17.30 UTC to April 30th 15.00h UTC the SHF plates were also removed from the field. We add this mask.

From 27th of May (when we installed replica 2) until 25th of June, TC_min32_2 was switched with TC_32_3. So, we apply a swap in this period.

For TC_min32_1, TC_min16_1, TC_min2_1, TC_32_1, the values are higher than other replicas from when the TC were reinstalled (April 30th 14.45h utc) until the 14th of May (9.30 utc aprox). This day we changed the TC profile for a thicker one. Maybe when it was reinstalled the tc was not well positioned and we fixed it when we changed to the thicker profile. We remove the data from replica 1 from this period.

Replica 1 also shows to be larger than other replicas at many depths and periods. It is maybe due to where it is installed.

TC_min2_3 has way higher values than other replicas from 09/07 15h utc (where fieldnotes say nothing about tc) until the end (4th September 15h utc). There are no other TC that have weird data, so they are probably not switched. We are not sure why this happened. During the harvesting period in September, the tc are outside the soil. If in this period we continue to see a weird value, the TC is probably damaged and we should replace it. For now, we do not use TC_min2_3 in this period.
