Summary: Tower maintenance + CTD installation (riet_vell_v7 program) + added desiccant to LI-7700

Weather: Sunny, warm and a bit windy.

We arrived after going to La Llanada to install the thermocouples.

They had mowed the vegetation (which was probably affecting the CO2 fluxes, take into consideration). The field was very grown and green.

We filled the li7700 water bucket, which was totally empty.

We cleaned the sensors. They were full of spiderwebs. It was slightly better than last time. CO2 had a nest in the lens. Next time we will bring the Fluon.

We also cleaned the solar panels, which had bird poop.

We downloaded flux data: at first the software was not detecting the smartlflux (although the methane software was), but after a while it did connect. We downloaded met data and phenocam pictures.

The new fan in the HMP is working, although there are nests inside the sensor.

We installed the CTD. The new datalogger program version we sent was incorrect, we could not read the thermocouples. It was because the excitation channel for the TC was 1 instead of 3. We checked the v6 and it was also 1. So, the last program that was in the datalogger was not the v6 (used as a base for v7). We wonder what other things were different, since it could be very relevant. We did not find any other v6 in the folders. In next occasions we need to retrieve programs before sending new ones. We’ll check when did we last change the program to see if we can find it.

We changed the li7700 drierite.

We put tape between ch4 and ch4 cap.

We need to refill the glassex.
