Weather: Sunny, very windy
We arrived at Riet Vell after going to Alfacada and having lunch at the Riet Vell entrance.
We refilled the LI-7700 water reservoir, which was around 50% full.
We cleaned the sensors, there were only a few spiderwebs.
We noticed that the lens of the LI-7700 had some scratches (Ariane had noticed the same in Alfacada, but we had not seen it previously). We don’t think it is because of the cloths and tissues we use, so we suspect it might be due to the strong wind, which carries sand or small stones that may damage the lens. We cleaned the lenses but only managed to reach to a signal strength of 76%, which may be due to the scratches.
We downloaded met and flux data. All looked ok, and shf plates read around the same.
We downloaded phenocam images from the sd card, and everything looked ok. There is a 4 min offset from the time the camera reads and the ‘reality’.
3 people from IRTA (including Maite Martinez) came to take a look at the towers. We showed them the sensors and talked about possible collaborations.
We left at 15.40h UTC.
