Summary: regular maintenance, resent datalogger programme from before the eclipse

Weather: Sunny, warm, a bit windy and hight humidity.

 

We noticed that the field from the south had a lot of weeds, like in Riet Vell (creating higher canopy). But the Northern field only had rice (lower canopy, very even).

We filled the li7700 water bucket, which was around 50% full.

Qin cleaned the sensors. There were some spiderwebs. The rain gauge is very high up and we did not clean it. We need to find a way to access it more easily.

The memory card from flux datalogger was 13/16gb free. We decided to not download flux data since we did not have a second memory card to switch it with, and there was still plenty of space in the card. Fluxdata started on the 10^th, last day Carme went to the field.

We downloaded met data. We did not have Carme’s last actualization from 30/07 to the 10/08, so onedrive files will have a gap. However, we noticed that the gap was only from the 30/07 until the 07/08. Carme downloaded her files the 10^th, and no one came on the 7^th. We will need to inspect Carme’s files to figure out what happened.

Pole direction in the end: 193ºS.

Vegetation height: 80, 130, 70, 79, 70 (rice), 130 (weed), 110, 75, 70, 77. Mean: 89.1.

Water table depth: very even and flat, 3cm.
