Weather: Very warm, high thin clouds, almost no wind
We left UAB at 5 UTC and arrived at Alfacada at 7 UTC. After preparing the first VOC sample at Alfacada, Ariane and I headed to the tower.
We refilled the water bucket, which was around 85% full.
We cleaned the sensors. For the rain gauge Ariane used water at 8:15 UTC (the sensor will register rain, but it is ‘fake’).
We downloaded metdata and flux data. The Li7500 software was not showing the plot. To download the data the WinSCP was working, so we did not have to extract the USB.
We checked the clocks. The computer and datalogger were synchronized and two seconds ahead of UTC. Li7700 and Li7500 were both synchronized with UTC.
The generator was being used for VOC’s experiment near the tower, so we might see a peak in CO2 emissions.
We left the site at 8:20 UTC and continued with the VOC’s sampling.
To-do list:
- Refill water bucket
- Download flux data
- Download met datadata
- Check clocks
- Clean sensors
- Install the remaining winds
- Add conduit to some of the cables
